Description
Easter is coming up! Watch this 3D printed bunny "spring" to life as it opens itself each time it is closed.
This print does require some assembly but should be relatively simple for those familiar with 3D printing. It is important to note that in order for this design to work, you must use tape along the folding side shown below. Spinnaker tape works best and can be purchased at amazon with the following link:
https://www.amazon.com/Nautos-PSP-SPINNAKER-REPAIR-TAPE/dp/B017OAG1YC?th=1
Don't have time for the spinnaker tape to arrive? Thats okay! Normal duct tape should do the trick. Using the same color as the PLA you print the bunny in will help keep it hidden and looking nice!
This design was developed by the Compliant Mechanisms Research Group (CMR) from Brigham Young University (BYU). Follow us at @byucmr on Instagram or visit the BYU Compliant Mechanisms Research (CMR) website to learn more about compliant mechanisms.
