I made these because I have a bunch of 5.25 inch drives lying around and when I stacked them, they were unstable and I really didn't want them to topple over.
So I designed these, they're reversible so just print a pair for each drive.
They should accomodate any half height hard drive, optical or floppy.
I tested with a bunch of drives and the slots were easily able to fit them.
The slot spacing, radius, height and length were all based off of the EIA standards SFF-8501 and SFF-8551 so theoretically it should cover any 5.25 bay device that conforms.
Notes:
If you have a rather large stack, you can increase the Z scale to be a bit thicker, but you'll have to use longer screws to compensate (see my cover photo, the bottom one is 2x thicker from a previous revision of the model).
I plan to update this model at somepoint to include a base of some sort as well, just for extra rigidity, but these are already pretty solid.
