Stokke Steps - Footrest repair

The small peg/stub holding the footrest to the chair's leg broke on my Stokke Steps chair.
I designed this piece to replace it.

Print the two parts, and use a wooden tablet to replace the plastic footrest
Use short wood screws to fix the printed parts to the wooden tablet.

The wooden piece can been rounded over using a jigsaw or router, and can be sanded/polished to whistand child abuse ;)

I used a piece of oak for mine, but you can use whatever essence you find/like…

The original thumb screw can be reused.

The printed parts have an extra rib to enhance the toughness and compensate the lower resistance of printed parts.

Print with 4-5 perimeters and 50% infill for extra resistance
