The one test I didn't do with the original was a longevity test. As it turns out, the original used portions that were too weak and thin, and it began to droop over time.
Also, the original was VERY wide, and it would rob you of some of your build-space if you were running IDEX, as E1 would run into E2.
So, now I present the new and improved Kirito Dual Fan Duct for BIQU H2 Extruders! Now with vertical fans and thiccccer ducts.
Named after an inside-joke about anime characters using “THAT TECHNIQUE!”, the Kirito duel-wields two 5015 Part Cooling Fans (I use the WINSINN 50mm fans) to improve cooling on any BIQU H2 extruder or any other extruders that may have two similarly spaced screw holes and a similar distance from those holes to the nozzle.
PROS:
- The measurements for your extruder do not need to be exactly the same as the BIQU H2 - the screw holes are designed for adjustable height.
- 180-degree part Cooling aimed down below the height of the duct at the base of the nozzle.
- No Supports Necessary.
- Multiple cooling nozzles, designed to taper the airflow with flow-disruption to produce turbulent airflow for maximized cooling.
- A wide gap around the heat block means you can swap out heat blocks for other models other than the OEM.
- Screw supports on both sides of the fan both for stability and to keep from damaging the fan-housing from accidental overtightening.
- Adjustable height means you can mix up what you're using for the hot end.
- Tons of part cooling. Print with wreckless abandon.
- Very pretty. Much curve. So airflow. Wow.
CONS:
- The fan-support arms act like a Retraction Torture Test.
While it looks like the fans are blowing into each other, there is a vertical baffle between them to redirect the airflow forward and to the sides, rather than towards the other fan.
This fan duct system was designed for a Tenlog TL-D3 Pro system mounting a BIQU H2. It works well and turns the part cooling into a turbo-jet.
I am considering trying to redesign the system to mount the fans more vertically to reduce width.
Calibrate your printer's flow, extrusion, retraction, and temperature for printing this part to minimize stringing, and the fan duct portion relies on some solid bridging.

(2) M3x6mm (to mount to the extruder)

(2) M3x20mm or 25mm screws (to mount the fans to the duct)
