Ford remote fob, focus, fiesta, mondeo, transit, etc...

Hello.

I made this for my second key that doesn't have remote. Searched before kits with uncut keys with integrated remote… but In my country the prices only for key cutting it's abusive, and you need to pair your key/immobilizer by your own…

Because of this searched the standalone pcb to provide remote for my 2003 ford focus. See the attached photo of the pcb, you need to buy the same or otherwise you will probably need to modify the pcb frame.

BOM

• Remote PCB (see photos and link) 
• CR2032 battery
• 3x M3x12 screws
• 3x square nuts
• 1x thin wire

PRINTING

You can use the file “Ford remote fob - ready to go all objects correct orientation.3mf” , has the correct printing orientation and supports for each piece. Otherwise you can see the photos.

You can print with with PLA, PETG, ABS….. recommended PETG because holds better impacts and abuse than PLA and need to print only one version (MMU or not MMU)

Your printer needs to be properly adjusted, you don't need a top tier 3d printer to make the print, only need the correct flow calibration and e-steps.

This model has been tested on.

• Prusa mk3s+
• Voron Trident
• Artillery X1 (properly adjusted)

ASSEMBLY

1. Solder two wires on PCB contacts.
2. Fit the pcb inside the frame.
3. Press the PCB all the way
4. Put the square nuts inside their pockets
5. Fit the button frame
6. put the buttons on the top
7. Fit the case, it's better if you put from above.
8. Twist the cables as shown in the photo
9. Put the battery, take care with the polarity
10. Put the negative wire on the top
11. Fit the top and close

PAIRING/PROGRAM THE REMOTE WITH YOUR FORD

There are two methods, you need to search the method that works with your Ford. Mine's it's the following.

1. Put the key in the ignition
2. In less 6 seconds put the key in positition 2 (II) and quickly in 0, repeat 4 times, you will hear a beep if you done correctly.
3. In less 10 seconds, press any button of the remote, you will hear a beep, if not, the remote will not pair, you need to do this with all your remotes (see my video, y press both remotes, and 2 beeps.
4. When done, put the key on position 2 (II) and quickly in 0, this exit program mode.

If you accidentally unpair your other remote, just repeat the process.
