Description
A printable measuring gauge to replicate the cardboard punchout included in the LUNAR starter box. Sides are dimensioned at 8, 4, 2, and 1 inches.
I created a surface inset section to replicate the artwork design of the original.
Highly recommend slicing with PrusaSlicer.
PrusaSlicer will auto recognize text and should create gcode color change entries at the correct levels if you tell it to. You can adjust as desired or print in single color and hand paint the text.
The Gauge STL can be printed as is or see below if you want to configure the exposed infill for the inset.
Rather than manually modeling the grid pattern I let the slicer do the work by creating a modifier for the L shape which removes the top layers. This also allows you to change the infill to any pattern and density.
You can manually create the modifier with a right click - “add modifier” - load and then import the Gauge-modifier.stl. Place the modifier onto the inset, right-click, choose layers and perimeters, then adjust as desired. I used 3 perimeters for the inset and zero top layers with grid infill.
Alternatively I've provided an m3f file that includes the pre-positioned modifier. Just load and adjust settings as needed.
