GEN2 Tool Organizer Inserts for Prusa MK4

Update 1 10/30/23 - Adding another Insert - Nozzle care kit. the inlay includes a print in place threads to thread in and stores V6 style nozzles, the MK4 wrenches, Trianglelab Torque Wrench, and an Allen key tool.

The GEN2 Tool Organizer Inserts for Prusa MK4 is a storage system designed to store the tools received with your printer to a perfect fit. When a tool is removed it becomes obvious which one was removed, this is the same concept borrowed from 5S foam used to help organize manufacturing facilities.

NOTE: These inserts are designed to perfectly fit a “Double Drawer” and “Slim Double Drawer” from the "GEN2 Modular Lack Enclosure Drawers" storage system found HERE and HERE. You can also use this print for really any other drawer or alternative storage.

INSTRUCTIONS

Each section of the GEN2 Tool Organizers is pre-sized to fit the specified GEN2 drawers, but the pieces can be rotated to form a different arrangement if needed.

Dual Color

The (dual color) allows you to print a thin layer that utilizes your print bed texture, along with a base piece. Printing these in contrasting colors makes it easy to identify the silhouette of a tool if it is removed. The two halves simply press together and are held together by pegs. If your pegs print a little oversized, boring out the holes slightly on the base part works well.
You can also add a few drops of CA glue to secure it in place!
