My sister's watch strap broke, and the replacement strap I ordered online took a long time to arrive. So, I decided to design one myself, and the result was not only beautiful but also modular.
Materials you will need:
ice watch model 013425
~ 10g of filament - for printing the case and links
~ 20 office pins - for the hinges between the links
Print guide:
print settings:
Layer height: 0.15mm
Nozzle diameter: 0.4mm or less
Supports are required
Avoid an elephant's foot
print in the orientation as shown in the picture below
Print two links to verify if your print settings create functional parts
Print one case
Print about 20 links - adjust the number depending on the circumference of your hand
Print the end links (end_a, end_b)
Print the clasp (clasp_f, clasp_m)
Assembly guide:
Cut the office pins to 14mm length
Insert the pins between every two links and between the end links to the case
Insert the watch body into the case
Pros:
cheaper
customizable
no need to wait for a delivery company
Cons:
not as comfortable as the original rubber strap
Remix:
By scaling the links in the slicer, you can create a strap that will fit any watch. Additionally, I've included an .f3d file so you can make any modifications you want.
