Description

In this Remixed version of E3Ds “Edition 2” mount, i added an M8x1.25mm thread to the top so you can use Prusas stock PTFE fittings. The clear benefit of the original fitting is, that they are much more durable. The Push-connector in the Revo-heatsink damages the tube over time.

Update V12 07.01.2024:

  • Increased surface area for M12 thread
  • Closed the gap on the M8 thread for increased durability

Parts needed:

  • Original Prusa MINI PTFE tube
  • Original Prusa MINI PTFE fitting

Assembly:

You will need a piece of PTFE tube 22mm long. Chamfered on one side, straight on the other.

21.73mm is just long enough. 22mm should be alright.

You can use EleaOwl's cutting tool to get the right length.

I used this Bondtech fixture to cut the chamfer.

To assembly follow these simple steps:

  1. Pull out the push-connector from the heatsink.
  2. Screw the heatsink into the printed part as much as you can, only using your fingers
  3. insert the tube with the chamfer facing away from the heatsink
  4. Screw on the fitting with the coarse thread facing down. Tighten it against the heatsink.

In the end it should look lie this:

Also check out my modified X-Carriage with better cooling!
