BMW e46 dashboard magnetic phone mount

Hi,

I give you a simple magnetic phone mount that I designed to use with my BMW E46. It works with cylindrical neodymium magnets, 8mm diameter and 2.7mm thick (14pcs total). 

Instructions:

-print e46magholdbase part in some temp resistant material. I used ASA which also gives a nice satin finish. Print on a side (I printed on placing passenger side on the bed, so that the driver side looks better). Don't use PLA! 

-print e46magholdTPU1 and 2pcs of e46magholdTPU2 in TPU. I used 20SHD. e46magholdTPUbott is optional - I ended up not using it. 

-all parts can be printed with standard settings (0.4nozzle, 0.2mm layer, 0.4mm line width, 3 walls, 20% infill), only remember to print slowly with TPU,

-one done squeeze magnets into the e46magholdTPU1 (2 magnets stacked into 1 slot) and force this part and 2 pcs of e46magholdTPU2 into the main base. If you want to use the e46magholdTPUbott part you will likely need to use some adhesive to glue it inside the base. 

-glue the whole assembly onto your dashboard. I used silicone, you can also use double sided tape. 

Of course you also need to use some metal plate on your phone to work with this holder. You can buy them in different shapes and different colors on aliexpress. There are also some plates working with magnetic holders, but also not interrupting wireless charging and NFC, that's what I'm currently using.
