Description
The rega turntables do use a rather simple hinge for the lid, for the purpose of immediate removal.
However, the simple design is prone to fatigue and breakages. Also there can be lack of vertical space in case you are fitting a Delrin (or similar material) platter that's taller and will require you to raise the tonearm to adjust the VTA. In this case, is easy to end up with the arm counterweight touching the lid, sometimes making impossible to close it.
So here it is, an extended hinge holder. You can adjust it to move the lid higher.
Obviously this means there will be an uneven gap front/rear, you can adjust with simple rubber or felt pads. Or you can find a square section gasket in 3mm width to glue all aropund the bottom ege of the lid, which will make a good seal against dust and protect the finish ofthe plinth, too.
Print those with a strong material, like PETG or Nylon (if you can use the latter) and 100% infill.
