Description

Want to use your Optoma UHZ50 on top of a tall shelf in the upside-down orientation without having to drill holes and mount the projector on the ceiling? Then this stand is for you.

If you like what I'm doing, please give it a like 👍 consider joining my club or buying me a coffee! 😃👍

Features

It raises the projector by 15 cm (around 5.9"). You can also print multiple of these and glue them together to raise it even more. I would recommend placing a 2 mm thick silicone sheet (like this one) on the top and the bottom each to prevent vibrations and keep it from slipping. You can also print it out of TPU by cutting the model off after 2 mm in the slicer.

It also extends on the side to hide cables and has an integrated channel to secure the cables using zip ties, velcro straps, or similar with a maximum thickness of 2 mm.

Print settings

Prints nicely in PLA in the default model orientation without supports at a layer height of 0.20 mm. It doesn't need a lot of infill, I found a 5 % grid infill to be quite robust, you may be able to reduce it even more. You should also be able to use larger nozzles and layer heights to speed up the print, as the design doesn't have intricate details.
