Description

Battery cover for Philips Android smart TV remote. Works at least for the remote of Philips TV model 55PUT6401/12 (55", 4K, Android smart TV, from 2016). Some other models might have the same remote. If your remote looks the same as in the photo here, this might work for you.

Printing

Print on its side with supports (worked nicely for me with PrusaSlicer organic supports, only from build plate). I printed this with 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, using PETG.

Use

When removing the printed cover from the remote, be gentle. If you push from the middle when trying to slide it open, it might pretty easily crack between layer lines since the part is quite thin. My first prototype cracked immediately but I slightly thickened the model after that.

It seems to be better to use two hands to hold the remote upside down and push with both thumbs from the sides to slide it open as there are some thicker parts near the sides that makes it less likely to break when pushing there.
