Qube 500 - Connect Four Board

October 16, 2023
Description
Wikipedia defines Connect Four as “A two-player, adversarial, zero-sum tabletop board game in which each player chooses a token color, then takes turns dropping said tokens into a six-row, seven-column vertically suspended grid with the objective of being the first to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four of one's own tokens.”
I define Connect Four as “A heapin' bunch o' good ol' fashioned fun!” because I'm a southern 1930's carnival barker.
Regardless of which definition you ascribe to, this PC-mounted Connect Four Board will add a fun kitschy aesthetic to your rig, while providing a fun way to settle office rivalries.
Printing the board is super simple. All the files have already been oriented for optimal printing, and can be printed with your default print settings and almost no support material. Most parts will only need to be printed once, the parts that require multiples are as follows:
- 42 Game Chips (21 red and 21 yellow)
- 4 Hook Connectors
- 4 Snap Connectors
I think there's a good chance all of the parts would print just fine without support material, but just to be safe, I printed the Left Side, Right Side, and Connectors with auto-generated support material. Barely added any print time or material, and it only took about a minute to remove.
Assembly will be fairly intuitive, but I've provided some renders to help better illustrate how the pieces fit together. (RENDERS COMING SOON!)
That's all for me, folks. Go have fun playing Connect Four on the side of your computer I guess! Bye!
