NFC Keychain for Social Media

Why you need NFC keychain:

Have you ever wanted to give someone your social media profile? But your username is too weird, the person didn't understand it or simply can not remember it? A cooler way to give someone your username is NFC Keychain. On a NFC Tag you can store any link you want so also your Social Media profile. And the best thing is it's very easy. And building an NFC pendant yourself can be 20 times cheaper than buying one. 

1. Printing Instructions:

Layer height: 0.15 mm (This is important .)

1. Choose your NFC keychain...there are 6 to choose from, differing only by the symbols. 
2. Set a pause at 1.4 mm height and insert the NFC tag(s) when printing. Prusa Slicer / Cura
3. Then continue printing.

Note:  with the 3mf file I have already made all the settings - for the Prusa Slicer

the 3mf files can be used in any slicer, but without presets 

optional:

• You can activate ironing in the slicer. Prusa Slicer / Cura 
• add text with your CAD program or Prusa Slicer 2.6
• or you can add your logo
• you can print the logo/text in another filament color 
  • Cura
  • Prusa Slicer 

2. NFC Tag Instructions: 

I use these NFC Tag (no affiliate link from me) but you can use any NFC Tag you want that is smaller than 28 mm. 

1. Copy the link from your social media profile. This is usually done via "Share profile".
2. Copy the link in one of the apps: 

• iOS
• Android

    3. And press write.

    4. Hold the NFC tag on the back of your phone.

3. Read NFC tag on (your) Phone

• iPhone 7, 8, 9, X:
  • NFC is not always on
  • hold the NFC tag on the back of the iPhone
  • tap on the message

• all iPhones after iPhone X:
  • NFC is always active 
  • hold the NFC tag on the back of the iPhone
  • tap on the message

• Android:  
  • activate NFC, if it is not activated (watch the GIF)
  • hold the NFC tag on the back of the phone.
  • then you will receive a message
  • tap on the message

I have uploaded each file as setp. file, which means you can edit them more easily.

Now you can easily share your social media profile/website to everyone. Have fun :)
