Description
UPDATE: (12/11/23)
A lot of prints using the built in tab system work, but can cause other parts of the model to lift. Therefore I have decided to replace them with tabless models because of this. You can still use brims, rafts, Cura corner tabs or tabs plus if you need to.
UPDATE: 02/11/23:
I have uploaded versions of the Wind Direction Arrow Cap (v3) and Dice (v2) with support feet for those finding it hard for build plate adhesion. There is also a newly uploaded Wind Direction Dice Tower (v2) without the internal balls. I found that a lot of clean-up after printing was necessary for it to look better. Now there is no worry about internal ball printing with this new version.
UPDATE: 01/11/23:
I have updated the Wind Direction Arrow Cap (v2), as the stem was too long and thin. It should now fit properly. I have also added extra printing instructions for various items.
UPDATE: 16/10/23:
I have added a screen grab of my TinkerCad model with parts in a general colour. You can use this as a guide to painting your final print if you wish.
These are 2 different styles of Wind Direction Compass Templates for use with Mantic Games Armada. They show the wind dierection by using one of two methods.
The first method is a dice based system. Print off the 3 files (Compass Dice Rose, Compass Dice and Compass Dice Tower). Put the dice tower on top of the rose (it should lock in), roll the dice into it and remove the tower to see which direction the wind is. If the dice is cocked, then seat it to its closest position.
The second method is an arrow spinning system. Print off the 3 files (Compass Arrow Rose, Compass Arrow and Compass Arrow Cap). Put the arrow over the middle post and using a very small amount of glue on the arrow cap stem, push this into the hole and leave to dry overnight. When dry, spin the arrow to see which direction the wind is. Alternatively, just use it as a wind direction pointer using the current Armada Rules.
