Quest 3 Lens Adapter

This is a lens adapter using the “Quest 3 lens adapter template” by Anonymous Hermit here at Printables, as well as "Oculus prescription lens adaptor" by tanvach over at Thingiverse.

Printed with generic white PLA. 100% infill, 0.12 layer height (only applicable for the old version).

NOTE:

I encountered huge problems with part that goes and locks into the Quest 3's lenses as it was too thin and flimsy, which resulted in easy breakage with the part that holds the lens. I had to use some glue and cotton to repair the joint after it broke on me.

If you know how to edit stl files, you may try to thicken the part I am mentioning here to prevent it from tearing easily.

UPDATE:

• I have thickened the connecting clips myself via Blender, as well as altered a little bit of the geometry to make it a 4-piece connection vs a single, encircling clip. I've also made the lens holders .50mm closer to the clips part. I cannot go any lower without the lens holders preventing the clips from clipping into the Q3. I've tried it (it was version 2, which I didn't upload at all). V3 is the closest I'm gonna be able to put the lens holder to the Q3's lens.
• I printed the new version in PETG and oh boy was it HARD to get the lenses into the adapter.
• Someone in the Make section mentioned that the proper installment orientation is to have the tabs on the lens-side point upwards, but for me, they fit the best pointed downwards.
• As far as the clip strength goes, the original version for me was too loose. Putting on a lens cover for travel would routinely knock it out from the Q3's eye piece. This one fits just perfectly. It's a snug, but still removable fit. The lens cover doesn't knock it out of the socket anymore.
