Description

Print both the top and bottom pieces. Place the Black Magic Probe v2.3 PCB in the bottom part and then snap on the top. Done!

For an even better look and function, add a button plunger and light pipes for the LEDs:

  • For the button plunger
    • Cut off a short (approx: 7mm) piece of 1.75mm filament from a spool
    • Melt and flatten one end using heat and a flat surface (see images for result) I heated up a small block of aluminum with a propane torch and pressed the end of the filament into it.
    • Insert into the button hole of the top part of the enclosure before assembly
  • For the light pipes
    • Cut 4 pieces (approx: 10mm) of clear 1.75mm filament from a spool
    • Insert the cut pieces into the four LED holes of the top part of the enclosure with the flattest ends facing into the enclosure (to best interface with the LEDs)
    • Press the filament pieces far enough into the top enclosure part so that when you snap on the bottom, the pieces of filament are pressed out by the force. This is to ensure a tight press against the LEDs.
    • Cut the excess of the filament protruding from the top part of the enclosure
    • Carefully sand off any excess clear filament with progressively finer sandpaper for a finished look
