Description

The Stand is inspired by the 165$ stand made by Grovemade.  (https://grovemade.com/product/magsafe-stand/?initial=642)

Printing Instructions

It was designed and split in 3 pieces for an easy print.

You can print this stand with pretty much any settings. I printed mine with an Anycubic Kobra

Max using a 0.8 Nozzle and 0,2 and 0,4mm layer lines, but it prints well also with a 0.4 Nozzle.

Supports are not needed, but I recommend you follow the printing orientation below.

Base

I printed mine with 0.4 layer lines and 10% Infill with a grid pattern. I paused the printing to fill the piece with washers to add a bit of weight. (The Grovemade stand weighs more than a Kilo)

Back

This piece was printed standing up (as it came out much better than when it was printed flat down) with 0.2 mm layer lines and 20% infill (It was more than enough but you can print it at 100% if you'd like. A Brim is absolutely necessary if you orient your print the way I did it.

Magsafe Part

It was printed at 0.4 mm layer lines and 10% infill. The Magsafe Cable fits snug but it is not hard to pull out if needed. (Designed with a 0.2 mm tolerance)

Pegs (you need to print 4 of these)

Do you really need instructions to print pegs?

Assembly

The assembly is pretty straight forward. Stick the pegs inside the holes and use Epoxy to bond the pieces together. CA Glue might also work. I advise you first glue the Back part and the MageSafe part together first, and then you glue the base.

Filament

I printed this in PLA+ and it's plenty strong. If you want to go with the same colors as the Grovemade, of course use wood filament for the “Magsafe Part" and a Metallic Filament for the rest. I decided to print mine with Sunlu PLA+ Marble and Sunlu PLA+ Black.

Designed in Fusion 360

If you have any question feel free to ask. I can provide the Fusion360 file if someone wants to remix my model (which is very far from perfect, but it works)
