Update 2023-12-28:

I made a variant with a date tag which you can find here.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I know there are a lot of nice bag clips here already, but I wasn't entirely happy with any of them, so I added another design. There are 6 sizes for clamping lengths of 55 mm, 65 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm, 120 mm and 150 mm.

My design goals were:

stability,
longevity,
high holding power,
easy operation,
no notoriously weak hinges,
easy printing,
and last but not least a pleasant appearance.

How to use:

As a rule, it is enough to bend the clip on the closure by a maximum of 1 cm in order to slide a bag between them or to remove a bag. It is not intended to bend the clip to larger angles. Bending too hard can cause the clip to break.

To open a locked clip, please use one of the two methods shown here:

Print settings:

First of all - a flexible material must be used, such as PETG. I haven't even tried printing clips with PLA since I don't think they will work for long (PLA permanently deforms under tension).

I also recommend:

line width 0.4 mm,
layer height 0.2 mm,
3 wall lines,
4 floor and ceiling layers each,
25% zigzag infill.
a z-seam positioned as in the print preview above.

@3Delworld made a great video about this and other things, check it out!
