See newly added photos. Â The Toothpaste Tube Insert can be printed in PETG or PLA and doesn't require supports or any special slicer settings.
--------
Also includes a holder for your toothpaste and a concealed, ventilated drainage system.
With other holders that have no drainage, your toothbrush is likely sitting in water that is a perfect breeding-ground for bacteria - yuck!
Some other holders drain right onto the counter-top where you keep your holder - which isn't so great unless you keep it right on the sink.
My design allows water that remains on your toothbrushes when you finish brushing to drain into a separate compartment below your toothbrushes and toothpaste - where it can slowly evaporate through the 20 drain/ventilation openings!
Optional Inserts of various sizes allow smaller toothbrushes to be held upright and can be printed in different colors to personalize each toothbrush slot. Â The provided inserts hold toothbrushes up to 16, 20, or 26mm in diameter, and another one holds up to 10 by 15mm (rectangular) toothbrushes.
The provided STL files are intended to be printed in PETG and do not require supports.
PrusaSlicer 3MF files are provided for generic PETG, and G-code files are provided for the Original Prusa MK4.
The Double Toothbrush and Toothpaste Holder seen in the photos was printed on an Original Prusa MK4 with transparent Sunlu PETG with a 0.4mm nozzle using Input Shaper at 0.2mm SPEED layer height with 10% Gyroid infill and a Concentric top fill pattern.
The inserts seen in the photos were printed on an Original Prusa MK4 with various colors and brands of PETG with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.3mm DRAFT layer height with 5% Gyroid infill and a Concentric bottom fill pattern. Â Note that the printed bottom is actually the top when placed in the holder. Â The 26mm insert may need a brim if your printer doesn't have very good adhesion and leveling; my Original Prusa MK4 with a Smooth PEI Sheet didn't need a brim.
Versions of the 3MF and G-code files have been provided with and without Input Shaper (look for "IS" in the filenames for the Input Shaper versions). Â Input Shaper (IS) requires version 5.0 firmware on MK4, but prints the holder 45 minutes faster! Â The inserts print faster without Input Shaper since they are sliced at 0.3mm layer height instead of 0.2mm.
