Description
This is a fully customizable truncated cuboctohedral frame [it is archimedian when frame_thickness=frame_width/[(sqrt(2)/2+2] with holes/supports in OpenSCAD.
You can:
1)Adjust the outer dimension of the frame
2)Adjust the thickness of the frame
3)Toggle each of the 20 positions for the holes/supports
4)Adjust the number of sides each support has
5)Render the frame w/ holes, just the supports, or the frame with supports
I made this so that I can display some fragile prints within a frame. I can print it with holes at the locations I wish to use and insert dowels to hold the model. Or, I can print the frame with the supports and join the prints in the slicer
This is an OpenSCAD file. If you want a specific STL, I can create it for you.
