Sausage Pricker

This device is for pricking the skins of sausages and salami to remove air pockets. 

Insert 6x dressmaker pins into the threaded plug. Using epoxy or other suitable glue, glue the plug into the handle. You may want to screw on the end cap to avoid pricking yourself but don't get glue in the threads!

Use a suitable sanitiser before and after use to keep the pins and contact areas clean. 

STEP files are included to allow you to easily remix the design.

I printed this model at 0.2 layer height in (food safe) PLA+ with a 0.4mm nozzle. 

I only used supports on the handle to fill the void where the thread plug is glued, other parts printed OK without supports or brims.

The tolerances suited the capabilities of my Artillery X1; you may want to adjust the model scaling in your slicer if parts are too tight or loose.

Please buy a commercial sausage pricker if the “…but is it foodsafe” thing keeps you awake at night.
