Frame hinge bushing for Tern Link folding bicycles (OCL Gen 2/FBL Gen 1 hinges)

Replacement hinge bolts bushings for Tern Link B7/C3i/C7i/C7(and all other FBL 2 Gen 1 and OCL Gen 2 frames).

Hinge bolts are a known weak point on most 20" Tern folding bikes from 2013-2017 (ish). The original coated steel (early models) or plastic (later models and current OEM spare part) bushings wear out, creating excessive play in the hinge. That puts the bolts under excessive shearing stress, which leads to the bolts breaking and your hinge failing while riding, most often followed by a pretty rough day.

If your frame feels a little loose while riding, this part can help you prevent the aforementioned failure mode.

Resellers usually stock the complete parts kit, some of them can sell the hinge bolts alone, but these bushings are unobtainium as a single part. This is a bummer since the bolts don't need replacing if they're not broken, and replacing bolts that are not broken without repacing these bushings will NOT fix the play in your hinge.

This part might need a small amount of adjustment before it fits your frame, depending on the accuracy of your printer, and the accuracy of the machining on your frame.

Obligatory disclaimer: Failure of these bushings will eventually lead to failure of the hinge, which can hurt you pretty bad, or hurl you towards a curb or worse, incoming traffic (or even worse, destroy your pride if someone else sees you eat pavement). If some parts of your hinge are actually broken, I would strongly advise that you don't take any chances and just buy the full parts kit and rebuild your hinge from the grounds up.
