Description
A solder fume extractor that is repurposed from a cheap 60W nail dust collector that can be found on various online market places (keywords: 60W nail dust collector). The original device is basically kept as it is. Only an activated carbon filter mat from a kitchen supply store is needed.
How to build:
Print the case extensions (red) and filter extension (white). You need a well calibrated printer as it is a tight fit. Place the cut filter mat(s) on the existing dust filter within the filter extension and you are ready to go. For better performance and convenience (anti glare) you can add the funnel. You might even add a few translucent layers for the visual effect.
