Description
The stock Elecraft AX1 and AX2 clip for the bipod is very stiff, difficult to attach, and hard to remove. At the request of a fellow op, I designed a better one. Here it is.
Print in PETG for flexibility and durability. Print the clip vertically, the way it is oriented in use. Print the knob with the nut side down. It is designed to print without supports.
The 8-32 bolt is an interference fit to help prevent slippage, so it will take a bit of torque with a screwdriver to get it all the way in.
Use the bigger knob for more torque and better grip on the bipod legs. You will need a standard 8-32 nut (11/32 hex drive size) to lightly press into the hexagonal receptacle.
