Description

This is my model inspired by FF-02.

I recommend printing from PETG, 4-5 perimeters, 0.2mm layer height. The chassis brace parts require supports, other parts can be printed without supports.

The base for the model is an M-05 in L configuration (239mm), stretched by 18mm using a chassis extension piece and extended top braces.

It uses Tamiya TL-01 arms (#50737) and 39mm dogbones (#50883) to increase the width to 180mm. It should be possible to use GF-02/Comical buggy arms with 45mm swing shafts for 190mm width, aswell as YR long span suspension for GF-01/WR-02 for improved suspension geometry, but these configurations weren't tested and may require additional modifications.

The rear axle can be build as per manual using TL-01 parts, the front axle requires a 3D printed top links (or adjustable top links), top damper mount (included in files) and longer steering links (you can replace the short ball cups with long #50875 or #53601 to get the right length)

The long steering link has to be extended by 18mm - you can make your own using an M3 threaded rod.

The model is still work in progress. I haven't tested position of body posts on pre-drilled Tamiya bodies. The model was designed for the V.2 chassis, but it's compatible with V1.

UPDATE:

Added a new version of the D3 part that provides more clearance around the steering link.
