MultiStand (Now Parametric!) - A Modular System for your Retro Handhelds or whatever

UPDATE Jan 21: I've just uploaded a file built in Blender 4 (free software) with all options built parametrically so you can easily customize your own stand. If you're new to blender, check out the photo for how to open the Modifiers Tab and basic exporting. You can check out a video demo here.

This can also be used to make custom spacers if needed. Just set “Device Depth” to 0 and use “Extra Stand Depth” to adjust the stand size.

I wanted to stand up multiple gaming handhelds on my desk in a way that's easy to pickup and play without taking too much room. So I built a modular, snap together system.

The front plate, device stand, back foot, and spacers are separate pieces that connect with the same snap fit connectors. They are easy to print, connect securely, and are easy to change out as needed.

I've included the stands for devices I use, but feel free to make your own and share. Currently this includes stands for:

• AYN Odin 1 (compatible with my full sized and slim grips)
• Nintendo Switch
• Anbernic RG35XX
• Retroid Pocket 2S (with and without my grips)
• AYN Odin 2
• Anbernic RG35XXH
• Anbernic RG ARC S&D
• Retroid Pocket 4 and 4 Pro
• Game Boy Advance (horizontal)
• Game Boy Advance SP

Notes:

• The cutout on the bottom is sized to fit standard ¼ oz auto wheel weights like these. The weight helps keep the stand in place when removing devices.
• I print most pieces on their side to reduce supports, but all work well printed upright as well.
• I have not needed a brim for most parts excluding the Flat Front
  • Thin pieces like the Front Flat piece need work best upright with a brim as it otherwise has low bed adhesion.
• I have only printed this in PLA, but assume standard plastics with some flex would work well.
• I have taken snapped together and taken apart the same pieces many (at least 5) times and it is still a tight fit, but I do assume there will eventually be a point where it may loosen. If you do find end up with a loose part, please do comment and let me know about how many times you reattached it before it started loosening just so we can get an estimate.
