reMarkable 2 Charging Dock for Type Folio

This dock is a remix/redraw of Grummie's original reMarkable 2 dock linked below. It is compatible with the Type Folio. I want to thank and acknowledge them for publishing the STLs. (You can see what I did to their models in the “Differences” section.)

Print Settings and Materials

The original listing suggests printing with a brim to discourage warping.

This was printed and tested with eSun PLA+.

Printed with 6 walls, 10% infill, 20 base layers.

Materials Required

You will need:

• 2x M3 x 10mm Flat Head Socket Screws (91294A130)
• 1x USB-C 90-degree Angle Adapter (Amazon)
• 2.5mm Drill Bit

Optionally, if you wish for your printed dock to stay in place where you set it on the desk, you can trim and paste some micro-suction tape below the dock:

•  Sewell Direct AirStick Microsuction Tape 0.5mm, 250mmx300mm Sheet (Amazon)

Instructions

1. Print the models with the proscribed print settings
2. On the bottom of the dock, chase the assembly holes with a 2.5mm drill bit at low speed.
3. Insert the right-angle USB-C adapter.
4. Place the connector cover over the adapter, and secure it in place with the M3 x 10mm flat head socket screws
5. (optional) Trim and apply the micro-suction tape to the bottom of the dock.
