Description
This additional tool for the Prym 390900 Vario Zange / Pliers is used to better support the back end of the male part for the Pyrm buttons when used with very thick materials.
The standard tool uses one piece for the push buttons and for the flat disc. This results in the back disc to bow back. I don't like the look at it is not as secure when you put the button through a 2,5mm piece of leather .
This adapter requires an M5 washer with diameter of around 14,70mm. I tried making this part without a washer but the forces are too high. PLA will compress even when printed at 100% infill.
The image on this page shows the buttons made with the original Prym tool in the front. It is really difficult to see the difference. I think you can see it clearly in the video below. We are talking about a millimeter difference AT MOST. So keep using the original part if you don't want to mess around. It still works.
