Bring back the mid century style by printing your own Sunburst Clock

  1. DIY Clock kit

  2. M3 x 8mm screws x12

The clock face is 5mm thick if your clock kit has a shorter stem, you can use a negative part in your slicer to thin the base enough. I've also included some blank hands if your clock kit's hands have a different fit.

If you manage to make hands for your specific kit, please consider uploading them as a remix as an option for others!

Assembly

  1. Place the clock mechanism inside the base, tightening the nut outside around the shaft to keep it in place.

  2. Start threading the bolts through the printed spokes until the screw is just barely poking through.

  3. Hold the spoke in place against the cutouts in the base and screw till tight, Don't over tighten!

  4. Press fit your Hour then Minute hand down into their places on the mechanism shaft.

  5. Press fit the hanger piece into it's place on the back of the base.

  6. Rotate the entire clock mechanism inside to line up the battery slot with 6 o-clock and the top of the mechanism with 12 o-clock

  7. Battery, set time, hang and done!
