Description
Howitzer Original Designer Assembly Instructions:
To secure the wheels to the axle, use 2 screws 3x16mm (diameter and length without head), with washers with a diameter of 7mm. Use 2 3x30 screws with two nuts and four 7mm washers to attach the legs to the base. The screws will protrude under the nuts, you can shorten them (e.g. by pinching them). Use a 3x30 bolt with a nut and two washers to attach the turntable to the base. Secure the nut against loosening. Use a 3x40 bolt with a nut and four washers to attach the cannon to the turntable. The washers are very difficult to fit between the cannon and the turntable, before putting the cannon into the turntable I glued the inner washers to the cannon with instant glue. I put some soft adhesive tape on the back of the gun, which will absorb the shocks when the barrel comes back forward from the slide. Insert the barrel (hex) into the hexagonal hole in the breech. If it is stiff, use force/bumps or slightly grind-enlarge the hexagonal hole. In the case of a plastic hexagon, you can slightly sand it. Attach the end to the cannon with rubber bands (e.g. manufacturer Herlitz), e.g. diameter approx. 15mm or 45mm (crossed-doubled), depending on how much resistance you want the breech to have. Attach the shield to the cannon with two 2x10 screws with two to four washers, depending on how many washers fit on the inside. After tightening, the shield should tilt a little, stiff, not completely loose.
