Description
The thin elastic strap used to hold the wrist strap on and hold the pieces together when the cane is broken down was not designed to be used very often. So using Blender I designed two small models to replace that one little elastic strap. Overengineered to be sure. But it was l a lot of fun designing these. The clamp is designed to use M4 inserts. If you don't want to use inserts you can print two of the side with the smaller holes and use an M4x20 with a nut. While I was working I noticed one of my many flashlights fit the clip perfectly, so why not?
I printed them using ZYLtech PETG in yellow and blue (I couldn't decide which color I liked more, so I made a set in both). I used 0.28mm layer height, 4 walls, 10% gyroid infill at 100mm/s overall speed (so 50mm/s walls). Both were printed at 245 C / 75 C. This particular PETG prints best at 230 C, but looks best (becomes transparent) at 245 C.
