Description
Print-in-place, collapsible horns for cosplay. Collapsed, these are about 80mm tall with a base of around 90mm in diameter for easy transportation. Each segment can be oriented independently to give a variety of different looks. There are places for four 8mm magnets in the base as well as slots for adding elastic or other straps, or just cut a hole and use the base flange to hold it in place.
I recommend adding “fuzzy skin” (Prusa Slicer) or the equivalent in other slicers to give the outer texture shown in the images. The examples above were printed with a 0.6mm nozzle, 0.4mm layer height (to go along with the fuzzy skin for a rough, organic look), 4 perimeters, zero percent infill and no supports.
Note that the pieces are held together by friction, so paint will likely rub off of the surface with time and usage.
2023-12-08: Added revised 65mm horn with a base that should conform better to the shape of your head. The revised version also stays together better when collapsed so the individual segments won't (usually) come apart.
2024-06-08: Adding STL version of 65mm.
