In clinical simulations, providing the right equipment is crucial for students to effectively practice their technical skills. However, there are instances where the appropriate equipment may be unavailable or prohibitively expensive. To address this gap, I have been developing 3D models of various medical devices and medications that can be utilized for clinical simulations or printed for fun.
I’m excited to introduce my latest creation: the Ultrasound Curvilinear Probe Prop for healthcare simulation. This prop can be used in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and other polytrauma protocol simulations that require an ultrasound probe for a Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma (FAST) scan.
To enhance the learning experience, you can prepare printed pictures or videos on a tablet or notebook to display clinical findings once students position the ultrasound probe in their chosen location.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not real medical equipment and is not intended for actual use. It is designed as a learning simulation tool with the primary goal of enhancing clinical simulation and making medical education more accessible.
You can also explore the Linear Ultrasound Probe Model here: Linear Ultrasound Probe Prop for Healthcare Simulation.
I also plan to create a Cardiac Probe in the future, so stay tuned!
My work is available for free, despite the many hours invested in creating these models, and if you feel inclined, I would appreciate your support by buying me a cup of hot chocolate!
