Description
Print these with the same settings as the normal segments - 1mm walls and 0.15mm layer height in vase mode.
I took the original 2.5in hose segments and extended them into longer straight segments. This way you can cover more ground with fewer segments. It's also faster to print these straight segments than the equivalent number of smaller segments. The trade-off is that they're not articulated, so you wouldn't want to use them near where you'll be adjusting you hose. I corrugated the straight sections to increase their rigidity.
There are two variants, 2D corrugated, which are stiff longitudinally, but fairly compliant when squeezed (axially?), and 3D corrugated with are stiff in both directions. I also included one length of a early 3D prototype which ended up wavy and asymmetrical. It's the stiffest, but the look of it really bothered me, and the overhangs are quite aggressive.
I've also included the 2D and 3D Fusion Files. These are parametric, with the 2D being zero-touch to change the distance. For the 3D you'll have to repair a few of the last operations as I couldn't get them to handle length changes nicely.
If you print these out please post a make, I'd love to see what other people use them for!
