BirdBunker birdhouse Series - 010 - The Wasp - Insect Hotel

I have a steady supply of empty unrefillable gas canisters (2.2 liters) and was looking for something to do with them other than just throwing them away (they can not be refilled).

So I created a set of “Bird Bunkers” (because of the steel shell that is used for the main housing).

I painted the bottles (steel shell) in some funky colors and thought of a roof that would go well with the bottle.

This one turned into a “bed and breakfast” for the birds … or the insects (or both).

It is a very long print set, but I hope it is worth the effort. When printing the bottle as well, you can leave out one tear of the insect hotel (or the head won't fit for the wings).

Everything should print without supports.

I was still printing this one while putting it up so the photo's of the print will come later.

Edit: I was printing and found the parts to be quite heavy … So I made a bolt that would be a bit stronger. I added a holding bolt that would require a metal bolt that is long enough and no wider than a M10 (I use a M8 or a M6) and would then hold the stinger.
