Description
This Sistema lunchbox is pretty common in New Zealand, don't know about other parts of the world. There are also larger and smaller boxes that use the same latches.
Unfortunately, the latches have a tendency over time for the hinge piece to break off. In the past I have taken a sigh and bought a whole new lunchbox. Now, with my handy dandy 3D printer, I can bring those lunchboxes back into active service!
I've printed 5 of these suckers so far, and they work perfectly.
Print it out and clip it on.
It's a fairly long piece (in fact I trimmed some of the unneeded length of the original in order to make it fit diagonally on the makerbot platform), so the first time I printed it I got a bit of warping. Once I dialled in my heated platform they came out fine.
