Tired of all these Z holder adjustable or not that aren't easy to use / reliable / fitting your printer ?

Here is my vision of it.

Originally enginered for my reprap Huxley I made it in order to be universal with it's fat base and large hole to attach your opto or mecanical end stop.

It was made to be adjustable but only "human" adjustable and not vibration / time adjustable like some design which lake rigidity.

I call it "high precision" because of the sensor be on the lever with the tunning screw at the end making it less sensible than the screw thread..

Fell free to print it / use it / make derivatives !

Instructions

Material needed :

  • your end-stop
  • helicoidal spring (found on some plastic clothe pegs)
  • some M5 screw / nuts / washers

Instructions :

  • print it.
  • pull the two parts together with 1cm of 3mm diameter PLA / ABS
  • put the nuts in the base and the nuts handle
  • put the screw
  • screw / glue / tape your end stop
  • put the spring near the articulation
  • screw / glue / tape the Z holder on your printer
  • adjust with ease, stability and reliability \o/

Tips : make a mark on one teeth of the handle, makeing it easy to follow your tweaks.
