QIDI X-Max 3 Silent Mod Fan adapter plate - Backplate Rearcover mainboard cover

If your printer is too loud, you have now the possibility to use the silent mod from my video.

The noise comes from the rear cover and its 4010 fan.

• Step 1: choose the preferred fan mod. either the 4020 blower fan or the 6015 axial fan
• Step 2: print both covers to have them aside.
• Step 3: disassamble the rear cover from the printer and unplug the fan.

For the Blower fan upgrade:

• use heat inserts for the blower cover and screw the blower onto the back cover.
  • Use this blower:  4020 blower fan (Amazon)

For the 6015 fan upgrade:

• use the following fan for the mod: 6015 axial fan (Amazon)
• if you want it to be more silent, use a 470 Ohm resistor (Amazon) to reduce the voltage for the fan, which then reduces the noise also.
