Description
I wanted a decently good looking wall mount for the hmd + controllers, and none of the existing ones really checked all the boxes for me.
I liked how the AMVR mount held the controllers, but I prefer printing stuff like this, and while there were similar community made models such as this one (which in some ways are better than mine) I don't want to have to semi-permanently attach the cables to the mount. I much prefer having the cables completely detachable so I can use them for other stuff, this also excludes all models that use those magnetic usb c thingys
I took HEAVY inspiration from how Esologic designed his HDM mount, and while i absolutely could just have used kitsunetables remix of it, it looked like a good CAD challenge, so I made my own version.
All in all I'm quite happy with how it turned out
As for printing parameters I printed everything on a Bambu lab P1S with the generic pla and standard presets using black Clas Ohlson PLA
The controller mount requires no supports at all.
And for the HDM mount I used tree supports, I needed to do some light filing to cleanup after the supports, but nothing crazy
Ofc all models are printed on the larges flat surface they have, ie the HDM mount needs to be rotated in the slicer but not the controller mount
To print both at once you need a bed of around 255x180mm.
Total plastic used ~280g
The HMD mount uses two screws 65mm spaced and the controller mount uses two screws 40mm spaced
I don't really think what screws you use matter, I used some random screws I found in the basement with some plugs, the holes are 4mm diameter but since its plastic you can either drill them out or simply just screw into the plastic and let the screws deform it if you need to use larger screws.
