Description

How it works: Push skis in and up to allow for one handed operation (Strongest holding power at the thinnest point of the skis right where rocker starts)

(Gif of older version, but use is the same)

Changes:

12/29/23: Added new bolt (SkiHolderV2_Bolt_ExtraClearance)  with extra clearance so you can screw it on tightly without binding. This is the bolt I would recommend using.

12/30/23: Added new bolt type in new upload that can hold ski poles https://www.printables.com/model/698258-gravity-ski-holderski-rack-pole-rack-add-on

Printing/making:

Use 5-6 walls for all parts and cubic infill.

  • Cams:  25% infill + 5mm internal brim if warping
  • Bolt: 25% infill
  • Base: 45% infill (adaptive layer hight on) + 5mm external brim if warping

~200g of PLA filament, prints on my p1p on a single plate in 5.5 hours.

I have used CA glue and E6000 with good success to join the rubber friction face to the PLA print.

2mm thick 50a rubber sheet

  • Cost $7 for 2sq feet
  • Rubber friction face is 45mm x 103mm.

What's Different from V1?

  1. Stronger gripping power
  2. Larger gripping surface
  3. More accessible materials
  4. Better tolerances
  5. Less overall plastic use
