Description
I designed a small pen, pencil and caliper holder that I can move easily around the work bench and does not easily fall down.
In my shop I like to have as much free work space on my desk as possible. Personally I do not like to have a lot of tools near my work space that do approximately the same. I’m sure Adam Savages would disagree with me. For me, this also applies to the basic stuff; I only need one good pencil, one convenient regular pen and one good caliper at hand.
The holder base is a M39 nut. The M39 is heavy enough that it stays on my table, even when it’s moved. The M39 holder and nut can also be used as a weight. I often use it to hold parts together when glue needs to dry.
The model consists of one part. Do mind that the holes fit my pencils (12 mm in diameter), so feel free to make them bigger (or smaller) if yours are different. I’ve tested a few calipers, they all fit well in the caliper compartment space. In case you have multiple calipers of different sizes; You can change the design to fit two calipers and remove the pencils.
