Description
Hi,
So recently, the tip support of my reMarkable pen started breaking away. Since the pen is expensive, I created a small part to replace the old broken tip support.
I used a 0.25 mm nozzle and 0.1 mm layer height; a 0.4 nozzle could probably work, but I didn't test that. To use the part, you must remove the replaceable tip and cut off the old tip support; I used a simple cutter. Ensure the surface is as flat as possible, insert the tip and push the new tip support tight onto the pen (see images).
The part is held in place via friction, but you can permanently glue it in place. Just make sure no adhesive reaches the replaceable tip.
If you experience what I call ghostwriting (strokes appearing on the tablet before the pen touches the surface), make sure the part is pushed as tight as possible on the pen and the replaceable tip is not squeezed by the part. I noticed ghostwriting appears if the part is too close to the actual tip of the pen or the tip cannot move freely inside the part.
Hope this helps and can save you some money.
