Settings Warnings

  • roller_sweeper_aggression - the higher the number, the greater the angle of brushes leaning into the rotation of the sweeper. The higher the aggression, the louder the machine gets on hard surfaces.
  • roller_sweeper_rotation - defines the angle of each sweeper from the center to the outside of the roller. The higher the angle the more the sweeper will drag debris to the center where it gets sucked up.
  • roller_sweeper_height - if you go much above 2.5mm, things start to jam up and get really tight.
  • roller_sweeper_count - the number of sweepers around the roller. You might want to play with this.

Installation Instructions

The original roller has some parts you need to re-use. Pull the grey rolling bearing off the end. Pull the metal nib which is connected to a piece of plastic and pull the whole part out. Move to the other side of the roller and pull out the plastic center rod. That rod might be tough to pull out the first time. Pull out the two foam roller inserts.

Print the new roller using TPU. The center support inside the roller is keyed, and the keys must line up with the plastic rod. Each of front and back rollers should be facing a specific way to drag debris into the vacuum. Pay attention to which way you want this specific roller aligned.

Insert the center rod into the newly printed roller with one side of foam. Make sure the key is lined up and jam it in there. Significant force is required. Stuff the other piece of foam in the other end. Add the plastic end piece with the metal nib. Last, add the grey bearing.

Each roller is designed to go in one hole [either square or hex shaped]. Pay attention to which you are replacing. The roller fits either in either the front or the back or both.
