Description
Hi!
This is a chalk holder I designed for a Key Grip who loves to use the ovular shaped MÅLA chalk from IKEA.
Features:
Printer Settings:
So this was a total nightmare to figure out, and I'm still not 100% happy with it. As it has to print vertically for the smooth curves, (I suppose I can try to print it ‘cut’, then glue it back together…) it becomes quite weak at the print lines, even at very high infill percentages.
I opted to print at a 35-degree angle on the build plate. Seems to hold up better.
Print file attached.
Current print settings : PLA, 35% tilted, 3 walls, 15% infill, Tree support ‘On Build Plate Only’, Brim Auto, I also painted on 2 additional supports along the shaft as it fell over without. Printed on a Bambu P1S.
Notes: I plan to print with ASA shortly. Hopefully it will have stronger layer adhesion properties. Will update with notes and photos.
