Description
The Slugscape Hotel is a fun print to add to your garden if you have problems controlling slugs and snails. Just dig a shallow hole to hold the base, add some beer, add the cover, and the slugs will fill up your hotel's jacuzzi in no time!
All parts can be printed without supports. You'll want to use a filament that can stand up to the elements.
There are 2 version of the roof included. One has a hole for the hotel sign and one is solid if you prefer not to install the sign into the roof. The cartoonish slug mascot can be glued to the roof.
Enjoy!
Edit 2024-07-05: The legs on the roof need to be aligned with the edges of the pentagon shape in the bottom. Once aligned, it will drop right into place (* or maybe not - see edit #2 below). The roof is propped up to give the slugs plenty of room to drop into their garden party.Â
Edit #2 2024-07-05: Thanks to a comment/bug report by  user @PeterSkinnes_945568, I went back to my original design and found that I screwed up and left a bit of interference between the legs of the roof and the base, causing the fit to be off. I think it's easier to see the issue with more modern printers that are more accurate out of the box. It wasn't an obvious problem on my old Creality CR-10S. I'm going to rework this design to make sure the roof fits properly and also update it so it's easier to print in multicolor with an AMS or MMU. Stay tuned!
