Overture Cardboard Spool Adapter Ring For Bambu Lab AMS System

Update: I have made a slim version as well. Should shave off about 10 min of print time, and 5.5g less of filament per ring.

This adapter ring will allow you to use Overture cardboard spools in BambuLab AMS system. These are lightweight, minimalistic, and reusable.  Please keep in mind that Overture spools seem to be very inaccurate, so the filament lock holes are not symmetrical, therefore I cannot guarantee the studs will line up 100%. I downsized the studs slightly to give some play to work with, but its not much.

If you have issues with walls being too thin in your slicer, you may need to change your wall generator to Arachne… The Classic wall generator will sometimes leave holes in thinner walls if your perimeter width is too wide.

If you have issues with the ring being too tight on the spool, you should print the test print I included to measure the hole and contour accuracy of your printer/slicer. I found that Bambu Lab machines print slightly smaller holes and contours than the actual dimensions of the models. I print with settings that mirror the model dimensions, so be sure you know your machine before printing.

If the spool hits your lid when the AMS lid is closed, you should contact Bambu Support since my model is within the accepted spool size of 190mm - 202mm that the AMS will allow.
