Description
General:
I decided to create this simple slimcase for my digital calipers since the original case was unnecessarily big and bulky. This takes up way less space in my toolbag while still keeping my calipers nicely protected.
The case is a simple slipfit with small protrusions which snap in place to secure the halves together.
Top half of the case has four standoffs for felt padding. (for a more snug fit and less rattling)
Fit:
This case was made to fit my Prof Digimatic 150 mm digital calipers (total length 235 mm) but the design seems almost identical with many 150 mm digital calipers.
However it might be a good idea print the lower half first and test the fit with your own calipers on the printbed by pausing the print halfway through.
Printing and Filament:
This is pretty easy and simple print so no special setting are required. 0.30 mm layer height with the DRAFT preset also works well and almost halves the required print times.
For filament I would recommed using PETG, ABS or similar for a bit more impact resitance and flexibility.
