My dryer FIXDRY is available from different brandnames, but I am convinced they all originate from one same factory. I do not use it permanently, so I need some variation for storage, exchange filament and flexibility for PTFE tube outlet.
- Filament outlets are enough available, but with a simple rubber outlet I felt that the PTFE tube needed some possibilities for being bent i.a.w. the emptiness of a roll. So I built the Bowden-Kardan parts. These are Print-In-Place ("PIP"). I added six variants a) for screw fixation, b) for 3M-VHB double adhesive tape or appropriate. Eac variant has three sub-variants: the spheric diameter of the hole for the bowl is in 12.2mm / 12.3mm / 12.4mm, whereas the hole-diameter is nominal 12.6mm. So depending on precision of your printer PIP-result can be selected. My MK4 worked with PETG with the very close gap of 12.6mm vs. 12.4mm. I printed the screw variant, but after that decided to use double adhesive VHB tape, that worked too. So you don't need to drill holes for any screws.
But you need to enlarge the hole(s) for the PTFE tube to Ø12mm. Deburr both sides if necessary. That worked pretty well in my case. I applied 2x2 of thes parts, two in front and two on top. - To take the plexiglass cover off the dryer always requires a little effort, then you touch the surface with potentially dirty fingers. So I applied (also with VHB tape) two handles which originally were designed for my Voron 0.1, but I modified the file a bit for my best fit.
- Putting the dryer in a corner or storage reuires that you decide where to put the power cable. So I had already a designed cable holder, which I attached with VHB tape on the rear of the dryer.
All parts printed on my MK3S+ and MK4 in orange Prusament PETG.
